"Backdoor pass, I never had a chance, or did I?"
5-on-5 situation, puck moved cross-crease from below the goal line. Beat to the far post. I thought it was unsaveable but my teammates said I was out of position. Who's right?

The community is right on this one, this was saveable, but only with earlier reads. The key mistake was staying deep in the crease when the puck went below the goal line. On a backdoor pass situation, you need to cheat toward the far post earlier, not react when the puck moves. The good news: this is 100% a positioning habit, not a reaction time issue. Drill: next practice, work on "post reads", every time the puck goes below the line, immediately take two shuffle steps toward the far post.
